How I Got Here

I’ve lived and worked in agriculture for more than 15 years now, and what a journey it’s been. Along the way, I’ve learned so much — not just about the industry, but about myself.
I’ve had jobs I absolutely loved, and others… well, let’s just say they taught me what I didn’t want. I’ve worked in places where I made friends who will last a lifetime, and I’ve discovered my passion in helping people and sharing my experiences.
One of the greatest privileges of my career has been meeting incredible people and hearing their stories. From coffee breaks in the barn to kitchen table conversations, I’ve been lucky enough to sit and listen as farmers shared their challenges, their victories, and the history that shaped their operations. For a time, I worked in the world of on-farm succession planning — a whole chapter of my story I’ll share in more detail another day.
Through it all, I’ve carried this feeling that I have a story to tell and ideas worth sharing. I’ve always believed that our words matter — my words matter. I want them to make an impact, to offer a perspective, and maybe even open your world to something new.
So, to you, the reader — thank you for being here. I’m excited to share this journey with you, one post at a time.
Now it’s your turn — how did you find your way into agriculture, or the work you do today? I’d love to hear your story in the comments, and I look forward to the conversations that will grow from this space.
